Allen L. Bickal, 55, of Coralville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Al’s life will be from 3-6 pm on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Avenue, Iowa City. Al was born on February 3, 1962 in Vinton, IA, the son of Albert and Millie (Bergen) Bickal. He was a 1981 graduate of East Buchanan High School. Al married Kelly Baird on March 28, 1998 in Coralville. Al proudly worked for the Iowa Medical Classification Center in Coralville and recently just received his 10 year certificate.

Al was a very talented artist and musician and both played a very large part in his life. Al played in numerous bands over the years. He also was an avid fisherman, hunter (who never missed opening day of squirrel season), loved to sing karaoke, and loved animals – especially his dog Bud. Al would do anything for anyone. He will be dearly missed.

Al was preceded in death by his father Albert, a brother Gordon and a sister Becky.
